¡Saludos! My name is Jessica Zomermaand and I am the Elementary Spanish Teacher at Roosevelt, Z-Quest and Adams in Zeeland. I graduated from Hope College in May 2011 with a degree in Spanish K-12 as well as Elementary Education. I am very excited and blessed to be working for Zeeland Public Schools!
I believe that learning a second language is becoming increasingly more important in today’s society. Aside from being able to communicate with Spanish-speakers in the community, there are many other benefits of learning a second language. At the elementary level, I hope to spark an interest of Spanish and expand their horizons about our world. I created this site to keep you updated on what we’re doing in Spanish and to give you some ideas/resources to practice outside of class!
